Hi Brad and Brad,
I really
want to thank you for reading my Concept Album email on this week's
episode. It really meant a lot to me to have that spread over your
podcast and to have some feedback. I put a lot of thought into that mix
and if either of you decide to try it out, I hope you enjoy and most of
all it tells a story by the way I sequenced it.
I'm
still hooked on Brandi Carlile and a friend of mine sent me a screen
shot of the following article on her in Rolling Stone earlier this
month. It's part of their issue titled "Women Shaping the Future,"
which has a cool montage of commentary by the women involved.
In
case you hadn't mentioned, and I apologize if you did BradL, but Mike
owns land next to Brandi's home in Maple Valley, WA. Mike is also
quoted in the article saying the following:
“Brandi is the only singer to make me consistently cry when I hear her
voice. Perhaps some demons are being exorcised in her
brutal honesty of forgiveness.”
You guys have mentioned several times about how the band, especially Eddie, stand for women's rights. It's something I'm proud to know about these guys and I try to carry myself in a similar fashion. I'm sorry to get a little political here, but I hope there's a different direction taken behind several of the women mentioned in the Rolling Stone article.
Forced to endure, what I could not forgive,
Chris
